Gerade lese ich eine Geschichte, die ich erschütternd finde. In Colorado wurden die Mitglieder des Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department von (mindestens) einem Mann bedroht, weil sie Evolution lehren. Auf Panda's Thumb kann man Ausschnitte aus einigen Emails lesen, die dieser Mann (anscheinend über ein Jahr lang) an einen Professor an diesem Department geschrieben hat.
Ach ja, und einer der Leute von DiscoInstitute behauptet, die Leute von dem betroffenen Department hätten die Polizei belogen und sie wären gar nicht bedroht worden, jedenfalls nicht von Kreationisten. Fairerweise muss ich anfügen, dass Derjenige den Inhalt der Emails noch nicht kannte, sondern nur den Pressebericht in der Denver Post.

Während ich keinesfalls alle Gott-gläubigen Menschen für potenziell gefährlich halte (jedenfalls nicht für gefährlicher als den Rest), muss man doch wohl zugestehen, dass "Gott" als Rechtfertigung dafür, Andersdenkende umzubringen oder umbringen zu wollen, sehr viel häufiger angeführt wird, als beispielsweise common descent.
